Pattern, rhythm, light/shadow, and interdependence are explored in the Collective series. This series explores wall-mounted sculptures consisting of independent interlocking ceramic units. The artwork begins with the installation of a single unit on the wall. The piece then begins to grow with the addition of units that link to the one installed, ultimately resulting in a large work that relies on a set of anchored units to maintain the position of the collective.
