Our studio was commissioned to integrate our work into the reception desk in one of the main lobbies for the Amazon HQ2 at Metropolitan Park in Arlington, VA. We collaborated extensively with ZGF Architects on the design and integration of our work into the reception desk. The front of the reception desk features our unique 3D printed ceramic blocks with variable aperture openings. Four different block types create a subtle gradient over the long span of the desk. The front of the reception desk was composed of over 150 3D printed ceramic blocks. All the blocks were fabricated at our studio in Pittsburgh, using a unique process we pioneered over a decade ago.
